Urea solution 40% (NH₂)₂CO
The product is a transparent, clear or cloudy liquid, slightly iridescent straw in colour, with a faint smell of ammonia, easily diluted in water, free from mechanical impurities. It is used in the production of urea-formaldehyde resins and as a reducing agent in SCR (selective catalytic reduction) and SNCR (non-selective catalytic reduction) processes involving the reduction of nitrogen oxides NOx to nitrogen and water. In power plants, combined heat and power plants, biogas plants, waste incineration plants and cement plants, as well as household chemicals, in building and construction materials and chemical industries.

As a fertilizer, it is used on all soils for all field crops, grasslands, vegetable and flower plants, fruit trees and shrubs, and lawns.
It is widely used as a reducer in the selective catalytic reduction process for exhaust gas purification. Urea is also used to produce AdBlue preparations.
Used at airports to de-ice aircraft maneuvering surfaces (runways, taxiways)
