Ammonia water is an aqueous solution containing 24% ammonia (NH3). It is a colorless liquid with a pungent, characteristic odor. It is obtained by absorbing ammonia in demineralized water. Ammonia water is a non-flammable substance, but ammonia vapors released from it pose a fire and explosion hazard.
